What About Sport Fees & Performance Bonds?
- Sport fees and performance bonds are due at the time of registration, and are payable at the Cash Office. Most team sports (softball, fees are $10 per team and most performance bonds are $40 per team; certain activities, such as ice hockey, are exceptions.
- Sport fees are collected to help with purchasing, renting, and maintaining equipment and facilities for Campus Rec programs and activities.
- Performance bonds are designed to encourage participation and good sportsmanship. The goal of Campus Rec is to return all of the bonds we receive.
- Performance bonds are taken in with the intention of being returned at the end of the activity duration, so long as the following criteria are met:
- No suspensions
- No defaults or forfeits
- Adherence to the Fair Play Code and Spirit of Competition Rules
- No ineligible players
- Attendance at all captain meetings
- Defaulting a game will result in the loss of 50% of a team's bond; a second default will result in the loss of the remaining 50% and possible removal from the league
- Not attending the captains meeting will result in your team being charged with a first forfeit and the loss of 50% of the team bond fee.
